How long have been doing photography?
I have been photographing weddings professionally for the past nine years. I began photographing nature and landscapes. My love of photography has evolved into the business it is now, which focuses on wedding, fine art and lifestyle photography.
What is your style?
We strive to create beautiful memories using natural light and allowing the happiness of the day to shine through in our photography. We want to create timeless pieces that do not look dated or use the latest fad in Photoshop. We enjoy photographing all the details of your wedding day.
Do you shoot digital or film and what equipment do you use?
We incorporate both on your wedding day. I love my Contax 645, Hasselbland 500cm and Kodak film for the getting ready pictures, detail shots, and wedding portraits. For digital, I shoot a Nikon D850 for the low light capability. I normally shoot digital for the ceremony and reception.
How do I book my wedding with you?
Once you contact me I will send you a list with our pricing information. We can determine a package that works best for you. I require a 40% deposit to hold your wedding day. The contract is online and easy for you to look over and sign. Then we are all set and ready for your wedding day!
Now that I've booked my wedding with you, when do we do the engagement session?
We can do the shoot right away or we can wait. A lot of couples that plan to get married in the fall will do them in the spring and vice versa. It's really up to you two!
What should I wear and bring to the engagement session?
You can bring several different outfits. The more the better, we can pick what works best with the background. Normally we will do two to three outfit changes per session. I prefer solid, neutral colors. The emphasis needs to be on the two of you. Just be yourself!
How long does the engagement session last?
The engagement session will last around two hours. The engagement session is shot on film. You will receive around 150 edited images via an online gallery to download with copyrights granted. There will be a link sent to you to view your gallery of images and purchase prints online.
Do you do video?
We currently do not offer video services. However, we have several outstanding videographer recommendations for you.
Do you have a second shooter?
Yes, I have a second shooter for weddings. He is there to facilitate the day and capture images during the ceremony and reception. Depending on the day, he might be with the guys getting ready.
How many pictures will I get of my wedding?
You will receive around 1,700 edited images via an online gallery to download with copyrights granted. There will be a link sent to view your gallery of images and purchase prints online. You will get a USB thumb drive with your images to have a tangible archive of your wedding day.
Do you travel?
Yes, I love to travel. I love photographing destinations that are unique to the bride and groom. We are located in Dahlonega, Georgia but will travel all over the Southeast. If you are planning a destination wedding, we would love to be a part of it. Contact me so we can make plans to help you with your wedding.
Why do you scan your own film?
I started scanning my own film three years ago. I'm currently using a Fuji Sp-3000 film scanner. The reason I scan my own film is because every wedding or shoot is different. The lab does a great job processing film, however when using the same ICC profile or color PAC for every wedding you get inconsistent results. Every wedding is different and by scanning my own film I have complete control of the way the final results turn out. It also allows me to shoot more film by keeping the cost down which is good for you!
